Q:  Can I purchase processed [frozen, jams, jellies, pies] Saskatoon Berries and/or Evans Cherries from S'toons 'n Stuff Farm?

A:  No.  Our operation is restricted to fresh picking during the picking season only. Usually around the first 3 weeks in July for saskatoons and after that for cherries.

Q:  Can I purchase seedlings from S'toons 'n Stuff Farm?

A:  No.  Our operation is restricted to fresh picking of Saskatoon Berries and Evans Cherries during their picking seasons. We purchased all of our seedlings, in bulk, from The Saskatoon Farm near DeWinton, Alberta. We do not know which Manitoban nurseries market saskatoon seedlings.

Q:  When can I pick Saskatoons?

A:  July  Our Saskatoon Information page tells of the general picking season, usually the first 3 weeks of July. See also, our Current Farm Status page to see what kind of season we're having, i.e. early or late.

Q:  When can I pick Cherries?

A:  July-August.  Our Cherry Information page tells of the general picking season, usually beginning the last week of July. See also, our Current Farm Status page to see what kind of season we're having, i.e. early or late.

Q:  What does the word "Stuff" in S'toons 'n Stuff mean?

A:  See our Stuff page.

Q:  Is your produce organic?

A:  No.  See our chemical use description on our Saskatoon and Cherry  pages.

Q:  What do you use to prevent wildlife damage?

A:  Nothing.  We have over 5000 saskatoon bushes and over 50 cherry trees. The few saskatoons that are damaged by deer and rabbits is insignificant. The first year after planting of our cherry orchard, the seedlings were nibbled to stubs over winter by the rabbits and much to our surprise, the trees recovered beautifully.

Q:  Does "S'toons 'n Stuff grow strawberries or raspberries?

A:  No.   

Q:  Does "S'toons 'n Stuff ship produce?

A:  No.  Our farm's priority is the U-Pick customer.
