Our cherry orchard is less groomed than our Saskatoon Orchard, for now. Ensure you have adequate leg covering and sturdy footwear for cherry picking. There is rough terrain and some weed growth in the cherry patch. We are working every year to improve on the conditions in the cherry orchard.
Please see the Picking Information Page page for more information on our farm amenities.

After 18 days with no internet service, our internet service provider, MTS, finally dispatched a technician. However, in doing so, our MTS phone service is now disrupted.

The Saskatoons are just beginning to ripen. We anticipate picking to begin on Wednesday, July 4, 2007.
Rain rain go away!
The Saskatoons had an approximately 50% blossom rate mid-May. All this rain is eerily reminiscent of 2005. This year however, we've managed to spray early for entomosporium. See the Previous Year Archives at the bottom of this page to learn more about the entomosporium outbreak of 2005. We're anticipating an average Saskatoon crop this year.
The cherries bloomed ferociously and we are anticipating another great crop of cherries this year.
To give you an idea of the fruit size of our Saskatoons and Evans Cherries, see our "cherries against the ruler" pictures and our "saskatoons against the ruler" pictures.

A nice spring so far. The Saskatoons had leaf buds out around April 29, 2007. The maple trees bloomed on May 2. The wheat crop is seeded.
Keeping our fingers crossed for a plentiful crop of saskatoons and cherries this year.
