The following pages are graphic intense, for those of you who may be using a dial-up modem, it could take some time for them to load.
There is one page of photos not in this section. In the Location section of the site, are the photos of our road signs that you will see approaching the farm.
Lloyd's Dad, Lauritz Jensen and his wife Roma, paid the farm a visit in 2003. Grandad loved picking S'toons and Roma had quite the time getting him out of the field. Dad passed away on his birthday in 2004 and we're thankful we had so many great visits out at "U-Pick Central".
These pictures show relative sizes of the different varieties of berries. That's my hand in the last 2 pictures.
Close-up views of Saskatoon flowers.
A Saskatoon, bush, row, and field in flower.
Our beautiful cherries. Lloyd's hand in some of the pictures you can get an idea of the size of the fruit. There is a photo of a cherry tart on the Cherry Recipes page.
In 2004 we commisioned our gazebo from Gazebo Man. This is now "U-Pick Central". Jenn spends her summer days out there, managing our operations while Lloyd can usually be found out in the fields.
In addition to the fridge in the gazebo, we have a large cooler back in the barn to hold picked fruit, either for pick-up or for customer storage while they adventure around the Stonewall area prior to heading home.
The golf cart is my main mode of transportation, as I am unable to walk any distance due to my arthritis. You can see the porta potty in the shade. Behind it are the saskatoon rows. Occasionally you may catch our Farmer or U-Pick Manager napping in the hammock.
This is what our Saskatoon Alleys look like.
One of Lloyd's new adventures, large scale composting.
